with our fifth earthly revolution around the sun, opp invites you to submit your philosophical compositions iteration for ‘turn 5’ of our annual philosophy journal. we welcome prosaic, poetic, artistic, a meeting thereof, or other-formly pieces focusing on any one or combination of our turn 5 themes:
philosophies of the Indigenous peoples of Oceania
cosmological/gonical and conceptual schemes
artificial intelligence
with these themes we invite you to intrepidly, carefully explore our interactions within or between amixt any of our themes. with these themes we invite you to inspect redraw move about play with:
logics
language
symbols
lines
time and space
surroundings
embodiment
consciousness
and their limitations.
we invite you to transgress and question, to analyse, to uphold, to overturn definitions or bolster the unexpected, to spin out poetic possibilities of hermeneutic care, to link our themes of 4 with 5, to mind colonial occupation, reclamation, rematriation, stewardship, reverence.
we invite contributing participants to submit poetry, argumentative or creative prose, artwork or anything in between to explore one or many of these sub-themes in dialogical acts to expand philosophy’s field of concern, in form and in content, as we encounter it from our various positions in the world.
we invite submissions in three categories: art, poetry, and prose, though contributors should feel free to work over and around these boundaries. multimedia submissions are welcome.
